Dead Souls are in lively motion
20:00 3 October
YSITC Student Theatre
The main Gogol’s characters appear on the same stage. The author-N. Gogol and his heroes/characters are in conflict with each other as presented by the director.
The characters are complaining and expressing demands from their creator. Meanwhile Gogol – who is very distressed- is trying to make each of them an individual, considering everybody through the spectacles of himself.
All the acts are taking place with the participation of quartet/ four voiced choir. The sounds supplement the speech and make complete scenes. The uniqueness of director’s idea is the women who embody the men/ male characters.
The plastic transformation of actresses and their inner analytic monologues build up a mystic and unpredictable aura.
