The prizewinner and awardee of International and All-Russian festivals Orenburg state regional puppet theatre marked 80th anniversary in 2015. Today in the playbill there are more than 30 performances addressed to both children and adults.

The play is based on Nikolai Gogol’s novel “Dead Souls”, a play by M.A. Bulgakov for the Moscow Art Theater and the screenplay written by M. Bulgakov for the film by I. Pyriev. The director decides this well-known story in the form of a trial of Chichikov. Phantasmagoria and at the same time reality, the one in which we live for many centuries. Here everything is not only satirical, but sad, “Where are you going…?
