Theater Company MANER MANUSH was born in 2004 in Roma, (Italy). The founders Andrea Lattari and Cinzia Grande, two professional actors, met at the International Institute of Commedia dell’Arte in Italy where they learnt about traditional roots of Italian theatre with masks.
The show The Fabulous Journey of the Comedians of Art tells about the adventures of Isabella and Francesco Andreini, comedians and wandering jesters, who invented lazzi, funny jokes with masks and plots which become popular all over the world, as Commedia dell’Arte. Each mask is marked by particular aspects of the character’s nature, as Arlecchino, Colombina, Zanni, Pantalone, Pulcinella, Isabella and Capitano. Following the real journey of the comedians, the show tells about the lives of the actors and their deep link with the characters and the masks.
