Theatre Maska was established in 1995 in Jelenia Góra, Poland. This is a small private theatre. In over 20 years, about 25 performances have been made.
KONTRABASISTA is filled with grotesque, laughter and nostalgia monodrama. This is a kind of confession of lost music, and really a story about everyone behind us. In the monodrama, love competes with hatred, and bitter laughter with powerlessness. The loneliness of the bassist is a field to show for his imagination. The hero’s imagination shows the audience not only comic but also dramatic behavior. We present everyman honestly and earnestly lest the time spent watching the play is the time lost.
